Sister Karma Za BetchSister Karma Za Betch

Hi Sister Karma Za Betch here.

Like most of my Sisters I have traveled an interesting route to land where I am now. Many years ago as my secular self I first encountered the Sisters here in Seattle and remember very distinctly how over joyed I was to know that there were people watching over my community. Knowing that there was an organization out there that would take the time and energy to watch over us and raise funds and awareness when others would not. I thought to myself, some day I might be ready...

Fast forward to a time when I was living in another community with Sisters and getting to know that order. I felt the same excitement and amazement that so many years later these Nuns where still there doing the most basic thing of spreading joy to those around them without judgment or prejudice. It was then I heard the calling - these White Face Nuns are doing what my heart and soul truly wished ALL would do - Celebrate You for being You. No stereotypes, just people being who they are and doing what they want to do and raising funds and awareness. All while having fun doing it.

Now back in my own home town of Seattle, the name (ok- she has changed it a few times) but "Karma is a bitch" really does fit for me.  Sometimes we all need a little reminder that our own actions do come back and bite us in the butt. No one is perfect but ALL can be forgiven.

Simply put 'I am Karma's Bitch' and 'she' does keep me in line so I can be here to serve YOU.
